In an attempt to offer the broadest range of history sources for learning about pre-state license plates, we recently ran an internet search using a popular search engine with the search terms “pre state license plates history”; this resulted in over two million hits. To make this a more usable resource, we reviewed the top 100 results and eliminated the duplicates, advertisement inserts and sites directed at this website; then the remaining list was condensed down to 31 listings. However the rankings were left intact (#1 through #31) in the same order as originally found. Anyway, enough about the methodology; let’s get on with the links that may be of interest.
